I had so much fun working on this project with Avie's Nutraceuticals!
Their ultramicronized Turmeric Curcumin Capsules are convenient for on the go wellness but are also perfect to add to any recipe that you might have! So that's just what I did.
Avie’s proprietary water-soluble Ultramicronized Turmeric
CurcuminTM is designed for maximum absorption, potency, stability, and bioactivity. Ultramicronized Turmeric CurcuminTMhas been shown to have a higher biological activity than leading competitors.
When tested in water, it has shown:
352 times greater anti-oxidant activity
More than 1,400 times greater free radical scavenging properties
126 times greater COX-2 inhibition
Golden Mylk Chip Bites:
3/4 cup almond flour
3/4 cup shredded coconut
2 tbsp coconut butter
1/2 tsp turmeric = 2 capsules
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ginger
2 tsp maple syrup + more for sweetness if desired
2 tsp almond butter
1 heaping tbs of cocoa nibs - best to break out up into smaller pieces first by either using a rolling pin to make smaller pieces or giving them a quick blend in a separate blender.
3 tsp melted coconut oil
optional ** [but delicious]
molasses is super flavorful and high in iron and magnesium.
add everything to a food processor!
Use a cookie scooper to form the balls and sprinkle with crushed cocoa nibs and flaked sea salt!
The ultramicronized process actually eliminates the need for black pepper for the turmeric to be absorbed, which people usually assume that black pepper is needed for the nutrients of turmeric to be absorbed fully.
They have a wonderful blog post all about black pepper and turmeric if you are interested, linked below.
