SPICY MEXICAN CHOCOLATE TAHINI BITES

Nutrient packed spheres are in.

 

They are so easy to make and to personalize.

Super versatile.

A little of this, a little of that and full of nutrient and body supporting ingredients.

 

Currently, I am trying my damnedest to add tahini to any recipe I can think of.

Chocolate and tahini. Done.

Chocolate and tahini with a spicy kick.

Even better.

 

These orbs are almost on the savory side, so feel free to add additional dates or maple syrup to up the sweetness.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here’s some quick tidbits on some of the ingredients and why they are so darn good for you.

 

Cayenne: boosts metabolism and digestion.
Capsaicin, the spicy component of the pepper, is known as a pain reliever.

Contains Vitamin A and E.

 

Cacao- high in antioxidants and increases serotonin and endorphin levels.

 

Tahini: rich in phosphorus, magnesium potassium and iron. High in calcium, a great protein source a full of those good fats.

 

Hemp: A complete protein. Omegan 6 and Omega 3. Source of soluble and insoluble fiber. Contain Vitamin A, B1, B2, D, E.



 

Spicy Mexican Chocolate Tahini Bites Recipe:

 

 

¾ cup shredded coconut

¾ cup almond flour

1 tablespoon flax meal

1 ½ tablespoon of hemp hearts

¼ cup of tahini

2 ½  tablespoon coconut butter

2  tablespoons cocoa nibs

2 pitted dates

1 ½ tablespoons of cacoa powder

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

¼ - ½ ground cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon of maple syrup

Pinch of sea salt

 

Blend all ingredients in a food processor until it becomes a thick dough like consistency.

Use a cookie scoop and place on parchment line cookie sheet to prepare them for the freezer or the fridge.
